Jewelry Party Featured At “Homage”
I spent my Sunday evening at a jewelry party in a Brooklyn restaurant called “Homage”. “Homage” is a newly established restaurant that has a welcoming and wholesome feeling. The perfect place to eat, have discussions or even play chess. That day I was there to shop and not only did they have jewelry, but there were also skin care products from Andoro.
London born Karen Jackson is one of New York’s rising independent jewelry designers and is the creator of Ambiguous Jewelry Art. The Ambiguous Jewelry Art collection is filled with an array of African inspired jewelry with bold colors and textures. There’s a wide selection of handmade beaded earrings and waste beads that can be used as a bracelet and necklace. There’s a few leather earrings and wrist wear. More of my favorites are her copper, bronze and silver earrings and rings, which are uniquely shaped and carved by hand. Most of her jewelry has significance to its creation. My fav is the Africa Dream Catchers earrings featured in my pics.
Lastly, I had the chance to checkout Andoro all natural skincare products by Rory Dunn. I’ve been using shea butter for years now and I like finding products that have shea butter and includes essential oils that smells great and nourishes the skin. Other products included are natural shampoos, conditioners and soaps. And recently for sell are interesting woodworks with great marble detail. My pick would have to be the Yemeyah body butter. It includes pure shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, essential oils, and black seed oil. Plus, it can be used for your body and hair.
